The ones I see every day in the clinic. But no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Using <strong>hard toothbrushes<\/strong> or pressing too hard while brushing causes what\u2019s called <strong>dental abrasion<\/strong>. In simple terms: you\u2019re sanding down your tooth without realizing it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This not only wears down the enamel but also causes your gums to recede, leaving <strong>sensitive areas exposed<\/strong>. The result: you brush to take care of yourself, and you end up hurting yourself. The problem is that underneath them lies the tooth root, a much more sensitive area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And when that root is exposed, air, water, or even a simple sip of coffee can feel like torture. But also weaker and more sensitive ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you tend to have sensitivity, it\u2019s better to choose toothpastes specifically for sensitive teeth and consult your dentist before falling for the promise of \u201cwhiter teeth in 5 days.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cracked or fractured teeth: what you can\u2019t see also hurts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">A blow, biting something very hard, or even bruxism can cause microscopic cracks in your teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These cracks aren\u2019t always visible, but they allow stimuli to reach the nerve. That\u2019s when sensitivity appears.
